TRADEMARKS & COPYRIGHTS
Your business name, logo, slogan and product or service names are how people start to recognize your business in the marketplace. These things are the essence of our brand and your brand is your business’s most important asset.
Did you know that as your brand grows and becomes more well known you are building brand equity? And guess what?…. that can later be leveraged for cash money my friend!
If you want to protect your competitive edge and keep the copycats at bay who try to rip off the brand recognition you’ve been working hard to build up, I can help you register your trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
How It Works
You will complete a questionnaire and we’ll connect via phone or video conference to clarify your trademark needs.
Review by USPTO
After filing, the USPTO will review the application and determine whether your mark may be registered. I will prepare and respond to any Office Actions issued by the USPTO examining attorney.
Conduct a Search
I’ll conduct a trademark search on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) database to determine the availability of your mark.
USPTO Trademark Approval
If there are no objections or if you overcome all objections during examination, the examining attorney will approve your mark for publication in the Official Gazette. If you receive no opposition, or overcome any opposition, your mark will be registered.
Prepare and File the Application
You will gather any information I request, and assuming the mark is available, I’ll prepare and file your application with the USPTO.
Receive Your Certificate
The USPTO will register the mark and issue a registration certificate to you. Congratulations, Brand Boss! You now have an official trademark from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
